I cannot install Office that I purchased through the HUP via download AND backup media. Doe anyone know how to successfully access an order history from. I purchased Microsoft Office Professional Plus on September 16, a link to download and reinstall Office through Microsoft HUP.

Installation and Use Rights. The software is licensed, not sold. Under this agreement, we grant you the right to install if you acquired the software from a retailer and run one instance on your device the licensed device , for use by one person at a time, but only if you comply with all the terms of this agreement.

Despite the phrase about acquiring the license from a retailer the HUP license comes directly from Microsoft, not from a retailer , it seems pretty clear that only one installation is allowed.

I did not see anything in the EULA that allows installation on more than one device. I’m in the same situation as the original poster. I had Office installed on both my home desktop computer and Windows tablet. I wish Microsoft would at least allow us to purchase multiple licenses at the HUP price so I could keep both devices up to date. In there, there is an option to activate using a product key. If it will accept you key, then you will be able to download the “offline installer” same place as the “downgrade” download.

If you need to install Office without an active Internet connection, or if you’re having problems with slow speed or tenuous connections, you can download the offline installer file and then install Office at your convenience.

You should get the email that has the product key and download link from your original email after you bought the HUP version.

Use those on the fixed computer. Note that the HUP license is limited to use on one computer at a time and limited to the time you are employed with the HUP sponsor. It took two installs there as well. I installed Office Professional fine. Visio fine. Project I tried removing and reinstalling Project I tried a repair install I did the “Online Repair” it ran for 2 full days and did doodily squat. I unistalled all Office products and reinstalled them all I purchased Office through the Home Use Program, and the directions for accessing the product key and download information are different.

Sorry, there is not much we can do to help with MS web site issues. All I can suggest is you keep trying HUP support until you find a competent tech there who can help you good luck with that That is where the technically competent support staff hide. Also, Microsoft provides complete service status history so that you can find out what issues have happened in the past and when they were fixed. If you want someone at Microsoft to speak with you about your issue, then your best chance is to use Twitter.

I have no way to install the software without the product key. As single individuals we are pretty powerless. They have large audiences and companies want to avoid bad press. When a well-known loud mouth media personality exposes bad customer service it can have a big, negative, long term effect on the company.

So it is easier and cheaper, and better PR, to simply give the customer anything to get them to go away. Sorry, there is no good answer to that.

I went to the Microsoft forums to see if others were reporting an issue and saw that some people had the same issue back in June, but there was no solution listed.

I turned to the chat support offered on Microsoft. The rep said he might need access to my computer. I balked at that because the issue was on multiple devices and seemed to me to be clearly related to the account.

My response from their reps was almost immediate. I also looked over their accounts for others reporting the same issue. The next morning, I received a Tweet from one of the people who was having the same issue. His OneDrive was working and so was mine. Three days later I received a confirmation e-mail for that Office support ticket. Now I wish I had never tried to uninstall Business Skype though. It is likely that if you can get the Product Key from the old email you can still install it.

The Product Key would have come in a separate email. I have a Home Use Program version. If you need to download, you can do so from here but need the exact version. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information.
